Some visitors note that wait times can be longer during peak hours due to the shop's popularity. Reservations are generally accepted, yet the high demand can still lead to a wait for a table. While most enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, a few patrons may find the ambience a bit hectic when crowded. There's also the odd complaint regarding some menu items running out during busier times, so plan your visit accordingly. The limited menu of traditional offerings may not cater to all tastes, but always expect quality and freshness in every dish served.
We visited The Catch four years ago last time we visited the area and it was great so we returned again today and it did not disappoint. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Not greasy at all. The chips are crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, not limp and soggy! Portions were huge and very reasonably priced, our family of 5 was very well fed with food left over for £20. Honestly the best chip supper around, you won't be disappointed!
One of the best fish and chips we have had in a long time, all freshly cooked, The shop was packed but didn't have to wait long, the staff were great, 100% recommend will Deffo be back
Went for a walk and stumbled upon this fish and chip shop. Two young lads serving. Very welcoming. Fish crispy and surprisingly not oily. Definitely if I am back in Hastings worth the bus ride,to get here
While staying on then the Haven site we spotted this cracking fish and chip shop. The portions sizes are very good. Chips had a lovely crunchy to them. Staff really friendly. We only normally have a take away once on holiday but had to return to this little gem a second time.
Had a meal tonight and all cooked to a great standard had a 10 minute walk to get back to our holiday park all was lovely and warm still and the cod and cod roe were both great chips even better.
Old school fish and chips shop run by young people. Very friendly and quick service, fresh, tasty fish and decent, thick chips. That's what you expect and you get it for a fair price. Would definitely go back!
Discovered this takeaway through social media and thought we'd give it a go. We are so glad we did! The food was cooked to perfection. The chips had a crisp to them like they should. The battered cod and scampi were still really tasty. The portion sizes were huge. Prices are really attractive and the customer service was excellent.
